I think they got the track selection 99% right, and were also correct to sequence the disc chronologically, rather then opting for a jumbled mishmash like The Chain. In particular, it was startling to hear "Sands Of Time" from Future Games (my third-favourite Fleetwood Mac album, and a record I must have played hundreds of times over the decades) with a cold opening rather than the dream-like fade-in on the LP version. I bought it for the single mixes, and unlike 25 Years – The Chain, they appear to have used the correct mix in each case. The body of work felt like it was meant to be a duet album. According to Buckingham, “We were exploring a creative process, and the identity of the project took on a life organically. The pair went in to record new material prior to rehearsals for the tour and their natural creative chemistry was reignited. The collaboration began three years ago, when McVie rejoined Fleetwood Mac for the group’s “On With The Show” tour.
